Support & Sponsorship
Update October 2014:
I have reached Portland. I am still editing my notes to complete my blog and bring you my stories.
Over £2,000 has been raised for World Land Trust, and while I complete my updates, my donation page is still open to show your support.
The easiest way to donate to my chosen charity is to visit my JustGiving donation webpage:

All monetary donations go directly to World Land Trust. My challenge is funded by myself and any support along the way, whether it be food, a place to sleep, directions or a free ride, is most appreciated.
If you would like to familiarise yourself with World Land Trust, you can visit their website: http://www.w

I’ve worked in the Waste Management and Recycling sector for five years in the UK and even in such a small space of time, feel that there is so much unnecessary wastage from domestic and commercial producers. Without a doubt, it is effecting the way our planet is developing and how our resources are dwindling. It’s also quickening the downfall of some of the planets most stunning and fascinating natural landmarks and habitats.
For this reason, I am raising awareness of what is definitely a global issue.
Americans don’t have a particularly positive reputation when it comes to conservation or being environmentally concerned. I plan to write about some of the wonders that I encounter across the USA as well as detailing some interesting environmental issues that I should come across.
I also believe that much of “local” American culture is misunderstood regarding conservation and environmental issues. We only see the bigger picture and I would like to dig a little deeper into specific American communities, as well as some of their important environmental topics. Naturally, I won’t be able to cover everywhere or every subject, but I’ll hopefully be able to lift the lid on a few of my own misconceptions as well as maybe comment on what I think the USA is actually doing right.
I shall be donating sponsorship funds to The World Land Trust, who work all over the world to purchase valuable land; to conserve ecosystems and protect endangered wildlife through sustainable practices, eco- projects and by educating local communities.
If you are interested in offering your support, sponsorship, products which might aid my challenge or if you simply would like to submit a supportive comment on this website, please do contact me through here or give me a call.
I’d be delighted to discuss working together and be grateful for your support, on whatever level it may be.
