The recent conditions on the Alaska highway have opened up the crack in the windscreen to one mighty, three foot gash. Today’s drive has also taken its toll on the suspension as one of the airbags under the chassis seems to have popped. It’s left us with some damaged metal work and we’re loudly banging our backside through southern Canada. We’re now full of reluctant wincing, vocalised frustration and blind hope that we won’t encounter more bumpy roads. Surprisingly, our anxiety over such a battering is low, but we’re not naive to the fact that our hobbling chariot needs a little tlc.
